Our organization was founded in 2009 by Jonathan Foxx, PhD, MBA, who is the Chairman & Managing Director of Lenders Compliance Group, the first and only full-service, mortgage risk management firm in the United States, specializing exclusively in mortgage compliance and offering a suite of services in residential mortgage banking for banks and non-banks. Jonathan’s vision was to establish an independent association of residential mortgage compliance professionals.
The goal of management is to provide a forum for the education and interaction of compliance professionals in a safe and sustainable way, in order to share a variety of perspectives relating to federal and state regulations and laws as they pertain to residential mortgage compliance. The association would also discuss and develop innovative and balanced solutions to critical mortgage industry challenges.
In order to build ARMCP, Jonathan formed the group on LinkedIn. At the time of the launch of its new website, in April 2019, the association had grown to 1,600 members! The long-term project of ARMCP is to be a leading resource for compliance professionals, servicing its members through a comprehensive array of capabilities and tools, enabling members to interact with one another in achieving a better understanding of their compliance responsibilities, most especially in the context of real estate financing in ever-changing regulatory environments.
ARMCP is a completely independent, non-profit association. There is no affiliation with any lists derived from industry members, publications, news or marketing resources, or political organizations. Nor is there any common ownership with any aspect of ARMCP and any member firm or individual. Because we are completely independent – in effect run and owned by the membership – we are able to support members' success in our dynamic, evolving industry through education, research, information and events.
